A single-color sensor, also known as a single-color cursor locator, is a component used for bag positioning in bag-making machines. It ensures the accurate positioning of bag patterns during the bag-making process. The sensor emits a beam of light, which is projected onto the bag film. The position of the bag is determined based on the reflection of the light beam. Single-color sensors are typically used for making bags with patterns, to ensure consistency in the pattern’s position and to avoid offsetting the pattern due to minor errors during bag making.

Single-color sensors are primarily available in two colors: red and green. Red sensors are suitable for most bag films, while green sensors are used for certain types of special films, such as aluminum foil bags.

When using a single-color sensor, it is important to consider its application range. For completely transparent bag films, a single-color sensor is ineffective since the machine’s inherent error is already minimal, and no further positioning is necessary. For colored bag films, if the pattern color is similar to the background color, the effectiveness of the sensor may be affected, and it is necessary to select a suitable sensor based on specific circumstances.

When purchasing a single-color sensor for a bag-making machine, it is essential to communicate thoroughly with the vendor to ensure that the sensor is appropriate for the film’s material and color. Different types of bag films may require different types of sensors to achieve optimal positioning results.

Additionally, it is important to install and calibrate the sensor accurately to ensure the positioning of each bag, improving the appearance and quality of packaging.
